Grow your career with Ed Wells Partnership 

Ed Wells Partnership offers hundreds of ways for SPEEA-represented Profs and Techs to enhance technical and professional development skills.

This is a negotiated contract benefit (Article 20) and provides discretionary training on topics ranging from ‘Aircraft Structural Analysis’ to ‘Crucial Skills of Effective Leaders.’

You can take classes on-hours or off- (evenings or Saturdays) as well as participate in online learning via classes, live broadcasts, subscriptions and virtual book clubs. Ed Wells also offers extensive career planning resources, including coaching and consulting. Ed Wells sends more than 200 participants to conferences each year, as well.

More than 500 learning opportunities await you if you’re a SPEEA-represented Prof or Tech in the Puget Sound, Oregon, Utah or California.

Good to know about Ed Wells Partnership

  • EWP is funded by Boeing through the SPEEA contract. EWP pays for your class registration fee and materials. There is no cost to you!
  • There is no limit to the number of EWP classes you can take.
  • Events offered on-hours require manager approval to pay for your time.
  • Events offered off-hours do not require manager approval since you attend on your own time
  • Course catalog is online (Boeing intranet only) at: edwells.web.boeing.com

Regardless of where you’re at in your career, going to a technical conference can add value. Ed Wells Partnership can help you get there.

Keep in mind:

  • Ed Wells Partnership covers event registration and travel expenses
  • Your manager approves your attendance and time
  • Report required to be shared through Ed Wells website
  • Application on the Boeing intranet at http://edwells.web.boeing.com/Grants/ConferenceGrants/
  • Applications accepted quarterly – check website for due dates
  • Limit on technical conference grants - one every three years for Puget Sound, one every two years for Oregon, California and Utah.
  • Puget Sound conferences may be covered by a Local Learning Event (LLE) - reach out to the Ed Wells Group mailbox if there is a local conference you want to propose as an LLE
