Career Transition Centers open in Puget Sound locations

Three Boeing Career Transition Centers are now open in the Puget Sound region to help those employees who received a 60-day notice of possible layoff.

The centers, located in Auburn, Renton and Everett, Wash., will be open 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Saturday hours will be 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

If you haven't applied for a new job in years and you face a need to do so now, these centers can provide a door to your future. They've helped many employees discover that losing one job is the first step in finding another.

Employees who visit the centers will be able to sign up for individual career consultations and job search workshops. The workshops will help people take the following steps:

  • Choose a career direction
  • Create a resume
  • Explore the job market
  • Prepare for an interview

In addition, the centers offer workstations with a computer and telephone that employees can use in their effort to find a new job.The centers also provide FAX capabilities.

Employees with 60-day notices will have first priority at the centers.
