SPEEA announces supplemental benefits enrollment


Supplemental insurance is now available for SPEEA-represented employees at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. The union recently reached agreement with Employee Benefits Systems, Inc. (EBS), to offer 4 supplemental healthcare packages to all SPEEA represented employees. The packages include Cancer/Dread Disease Insurance, Life Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance and Disability Income.

These packages are strictly voluntary for employees and are available to all family members. Spirit AeroSpace Inc. will collect premiums through payroll deductions.

Information packets are scheduled for mailing Friday, June 2nd. Enrollment starts June 12th and continues through June 30th. A schedule of enrollment locations and times is below. 

Introduction letter

Take the opportunity to speak with of the EBS counselors and make decisions based on your family needs.  In some cases, there are eligibility requirements that may allow an employee to qualify for benefits through the Custom Choice Worksite Benefits even if previously denied. There is an annual enrollment period so it would be advantageous to speak with a counselor during this initial enrollment period.

Representatives are available during the following times

6 a.m. to 8 a.m.
11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Week of June 12:

Plant 2 – Main Cafeteria
Nacelle bldg. – Front Lobby Conference Room

Week of June 19:

Plant 2 – Main Cafeteria
IPB3 – Cafeteria  (for all IPB bldg.’s)
Facilities - Cafeteria
CMF bldg – Cafeteria (inc. Lab, ASB)

Week of June 26:

Follow-ups in all areas, as needed.
