Northwest Councils elect negotiations teams

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

At the Feb. 21 Council meeting, the Prof and Tech Bargaining Unit Council Reps elected SPEEA members for their negotiation teams.

Negotiation team members go through training and work with a team of staff to itemize and prioritize changes important to the bargaining units – based on surveys, case histories and market analysis. Prior to Main Table negotiations, which start Oct. 28, work continues in joint committees and SPEEA subcommittees.

Puget Sound contracts expire Dec. 1, 2008.

Thanks to the Negotiation Team Nominating Committee for their work, including reviewing applications and interviewing candidates. Members of this committee included: Saad Alyan, Niecie Weatherby, Walt Ditlefsen, Mark Schuetz, Kevin McKinney, Andrea Saunders and Roni Schaffer.
